Prof. Halil Kavaklı, head of the Molecular Biology and Genetics Department and Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has received the prestigious TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science Award in 2022, for his outstanding research on DNA repair and circadian rhythm.

THE World University Rankings 2023

Achieving an extraordinary advancement, the Koç University Graduate School of Business has leaped to the 31st place in the rankings of the Financial Times, one of the world’s most prestigious publications, in which “Executive MBA” (EMBA) programs of business schools around the world are ranked. In this distinguished league of the world’s top business schools, the Koç University Graduate School of Business maintained its status as the only institution from Türkiye to be ranked among the top 100. With women constituting 50% of its faculty members, the Koç University Graduate School of Business shared the first place with regard to this criterion with three universities.

The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), which has been established for the quality assessment and development of higher education institutions operating in the fields of the administrative sciences and business management, has renewed its accreditation for Koç University. Koç University is the only academic institution in Türkiye to attain this accreditation.

The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) announced the results of “YÖK 2022 Outstanding Achievement Awards”, which were presented on 10th October during the Opening Ceremony of the 2022-2023 Academic Year. The Science Diplomacy Award, which was initiated this year, was presented to Assoc. Prof. Sedat Nizamoğlu from our Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering during the ceremony. To be the first recipient of this award is particularly noteworthy for our university. Wholehearted congratulations to Assoc.
