Koç University Graduate School of Health Sciences (GSHS) provides an integration platform for students and faculty willing to develop novel studies for health sciences. For the development and translation of novel and innovative technologies, transfer of knowledge to the bed side from the bench is needed. In order to achieve this goal, graduate programs provide the first step. Our president, Prof. Metin Sitti's research article 'Artificial-goosebump-driven microactuation' was published in the prestigious Nature Materials magazine. This article proposes and demonstrates a new microactuation method that achieves precise manipulation in micro/nanoelectromechanical systems, particularly related to miniature robots, biomedical devices, and microfluidic devices.
