Koç University Neuroscience PHD program was founded in 2014 and accepted its first PHD students in 2015. This neuroscience program brings together 43 faculty members from different academic backgrounds and disciplines and bridges core areas of neuroscience as Molecular, Developmental, Cellular, Systems, Cognitive, Computational and Clinical, to create a vigorous research program, address the broad areas encompassed by modern neuroscience and to help understanding how our precious ‘Brain’ works.

Master’s with Thesis
Koç University Neuroscience Program’s Doctorate Program was opened in 2014 and the Master’s with Thesis Program was opened in 2020. Our programs bring together lecturers from different academic backgrounds and disciplines to create a strong research environment, target broad fields covered by modern neuroscience and contribute to the understanding of how our ‘Brain’ works, and it creates a bridge between the core areas of neuroscience, such as ‘molecular, developmental, cellular, systemic, cognitive, operational, and clinical’.

Program Fees
There exists a wide spectrum of financial aid and scholarship opportunities and packages for graduate students at the Graduate School of Health Sciences. These include “KU Graduate Scholarship” funded by Koç University (%25, %50, %75, %100), BİDEB scholarship funded by TÜBITAK, Türkiye Scholarships, “Project-based Graduate Scholarship” co-funded by external sources such as TÜBİTAK, EU, industry through projects and Koç University. Nursing PhD program offers 100% scholarship (full exemption from tuition fees) for all candidates who meet the criteria.
- 25% discount is applied to Koç University graduates.
- In addition to the graduates discount or independently, students can be given scholarships at different percentages depending on their success.
- Students with scholarship are determined by the Science Committee of the Graduate School of Health Sciences.
- Students who study part-time in Neuroscience Master’s with Thesis and PhD programs cannot receive a scholarship. Discounts can be applied with the decision of the Science Committee of the Graduate School of Health Sciences.
