Awards and HonorsDr. Ergin Bulut received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Communications Research at the University of Illinois in 2014. He started working as an assistant professor in the Department of Media and Visual Arts at Koç University. Bulut researches and teaches in the following topics: video game studies, media industries and political economy, and media and politics. His book – A Precarious Game: The Illusion of Dream Jobs in the Video Game Industry – was published by Cornell University Press in March 2020.

In order to choose and reward the best young academics and to support them in conducting new studies, an award program (BAGEP – Science Academy’s Young Scientist Awards Program) was initiated in the year 2013.

Our part time faculty member and also an Anamed 2019-2020 Post-Doctoral Fellow Dr. Semih Çelik’s Project offer titled “A Contribution to Debates on Commercialization of Agriculture in the Ottoman Empire: Agricultural Production in Biga District, 1840-1860” received support approval under TUBİTAK-ARDEB’s “1001-Supporting Scientific and Technological Research Projects Program”. Assoc. Prof. Yonca Köksal of History Department, will be the consultant of the project.
