The Co-published Study by Caltech and Dr. Uğur Teğin
Release Date 2023-04-14 20:00
Awards and HonorsDr. Uğur Teğin, with the Caltech Optical Imaging team, demonstrated that optical bandit waves could occur spatially and temporally in next-generation lasers using the world’s fastest imaging system. Their work revealed that these infrequent and unpredictable giant optical waves produce high-quality ultra-short (femtosecond) laser pulses due to multidimensional and complex nonlinear visual effects.
Dr. Teğin studies complex and nonlinear optical dynamics to develop cutting-edge photonic technologies in visual computing, photonic neural networks, and next-generation fiber lasers.
We congratulate Dr. Uğur Teğin for his work and wish him continued success.
