Sevilay Şenol Çelik

Overview

Prof. Sevilay Şenol Çelik graduated from Hacettepe University School of Nursing, a Master in Science and received her Ph.D. in nursing, from the Institute of Health Sciences at Hacettepe University, Turkey. Dr. Çelik worked as a nurse at the cardiovascular and thoracic surgery intensive care unit between 1988-1992, and she worked as a faculty member at the Hacettepe University School of Nursing between 1992- 2018. Dr. Çelik had the title of Associate Professor in April 2005 and the title of Professor in May 2011 and, she has worked as a trainee, visiting lecturer, observe, and researcher in Malta, the United States of America and Poland. She is now working as a faculty member at Koç University, School of Nursing. Her main area of research interest is intensive care nursing, and surgical nursing including thoracic, cardiovascular surgical nursing and urology nursing. In addition, Dr. Çelik is interested in gerontology and geriatric nursing, first aid and has many articles and studies about aging and surgical nursing.
